The grass down there is either wide-bladed, rough, dry, sharp and (yes) full of bugs or it's expensive, water-dependent, still wide-bladed and highly prone to disease and blight. I think the soil has a lot to do with it, everything is growing in sand down in Florida.
Ohhhhh....lush emeraldy lawn! Mine is newly re-seeded, but some day, it will look like that.

Do they have grass in Florida? I thought you all just walked around on a carpet of bugs?
